Leo è un sedicenne qualunque. Nickname: il Pirata. Non si pettina mai, ama scorrazzare in motorino per la città, giocare a calcetto, ascoltare la musica a palla per non pensare e prendere la vita con filosofia: se non puoi/vuoi fare i compiti vai pure a letto sereno, domani li copierai. La scuola è bella al pomeriggio, perché non ci sono i prof e tutta la vita è a colori: il bianco indica il vuoto assoluto e il silenzio, e fa paura. Da evitare. La prof di filosofia è nera e triste. Silvia, invece, fedele compagna di classe, è azzurra e infonde pace e sicurezza. E poi Leo ha pure un Sogno. Si chiama Beatrice, è un anno più grande di lui ed è decisamente Rosso. Come i suoi capelli, come l’amore. Come il sangue. Sì perché Beatrice ha la leucemia: il suo sangue sta diventando bianco, sempre più bianco…
Nel corso di un anno scolastico, tra un supplente di filosofia particolarmente ispirato, il torneo di calcetto, le discussioni coi genitori Leo insegue disperatamente il suo Sogno e si confronta con cose più grandi di lui, l’amore, il dolore, Dio, se esiste. Alla fine dell’anno è un po’ più uomo. Ma che fatica, la vita..
Ho appena cominciato a leggerlo, ma è veramente bello!

L'ho letto qualche mese fa. un bel libro senza dubbio, ma mi è sembrato molto semplice sin dal primo momento. molto scorrevole ed è una caratteristica necessaria per me, ma allo stesso tempo l'ho trovato un libro piuttosto semplice.. anche nel finale. come se non mi avesse lasciato niente di sorprendente.
alla fine dei conti lo considero un libro carino x°D ma credo sia normale considerando che è la prima opera di scittura dell'autore.

So take heart if you're seemingly stuck under a rain cloud… You won't always have to fight so hard to stay dry. Relish this moment too… You might find some strength in that surrender.. -

Si, hai ragione..è molto semplice..però è molto bello e delle parti mi fanno morire dal ridere perchè mi fanno venire in mente le mie giornate a scuola!

si, quello è vero. è molto attuale e l'autore si intende bene di scuola lavorandoci xD comunque credo che (come spesso mi capita di fare) rileggerò questo libro. mi piace rileggere i libri per comprenderli meglio, senza l'ansia di sapere la fine come quando si è alla prima lettura xD

io ho letto questo libro in estate sul pc..poi 2 mesi fa l'ho riletto dopo averlo comprato..neanche a farlo apposta nella mia scuola tra 1 mese c'è l'incontro con l'autore e quest'anno è lui..mentre 2 anni fa è stato l'autore de la solitudine dei num primi..ora dovremmo fare 3 incontri per vedere quali domande porgli e studiare insieme gli argomenti principali del libro..a mio parere è stupendo oltre che abbastanza semplice

no figurati..non era neanche molto impegnativo..la cosa che più mi è piaciuta è stato accostare il tema dell'amore alla morte..tanti discorsi che si dovrebbero fare a noi giovani ma
che pochi fanno..

ovviamente..poi ci sono alcuni che pensano che più un libro è impegnativo, più è noioso..assolutamente..poi ognuno ha un proprio punto di vista..per me può essere impegnativo e per qualcun altro no

Semplice, non impegnativo al massimo, ma con una trama molto vicina al pubblico giovanile e molto commovente. ♥ “ Far far, there's this little girl, she was praying for something to happen to her. Everyday she writes words and more words, just to speak out the thoughts that keep floating inside. And she's strong when the dreams come cos' they take her, cover her, they are all over. Ok, sono un bel po' in ritardo, ma è davvero un ottimo libro! Anche se lo stile, secondo me, è un po' troppo sempliciotto, però mamma se mi ha fatto piangere!
